At Home Workout

(I wish I had a treadmill at home!)

I finally managed to get in a workout, polished off in 45 minutes whilst simultaneously shoving the dummy in Oscars mouth & trying to stop Blake from pulling him off his swing the entire time. It was fairly stressful but definitely worth it!

I do this in the lounge with a set of 6kg dumb bells and a Swiss ball. So for any Mums (or busy working gals who have zero time for the gym) looking for some fresh fitness ideas, here's a glimpse of what I do;

4 x sets x 12 reps of jumping squats (squat then jump up in the air with your arms raised)

3 x sets x 12 reps each leg of standing lunges with dumb bells

3 x 1 min wall seats

3 x sets 12 reps swissball hamstring curls

2 x sets x 12 reps each leg of bridged leg lifts

1 x set x 20 reps on each leg of lying scissor kicks (lie down on side and lift leg whilst keeping hips aligned)

2 x sets x 20 reps mountain climbers (google it)

2 x 1 min plank

2 x 50 reps bicycle crunches

2 x Pilates hundreds sets (google)

3 x sets x 10 reps press ups (full or half, normally my last set is half)

And lastly I finish off with a few yoga stretches including the downward dog, tree pose & corpse pose..

So that's just an example of some things I do at home, and I can definitely feel the burn today (squats + lunges = death)

Hopefully I can do this a few times a week as there is no way I am getting back to the gym anytime soon... Although I am starting netball & ballet in the coming weeks, I may just feel as limber as my 10 year old self soon! Dreams are free...

Happy Friday folks!!

Thought of the day "I feel like chicken soup"
