F it was good. So darn good.
Oli, my incredibly wonderful better half (incase you didn't already know), took over duties whilst watching the league last night, and fed Oscar some of my expressed milk from a bottle. Turns out the bottle works better for his tum, my nipples seem to squirt out far too much milk at once and he often chokes and splutters on it. So I may have to hook myself up to the pump and get all cow-like more often. If it means 8 hours sleep for this household I'll happily express milk all day.
I can see some light at the end of the tunnel today, and it is glorious!
The rest of the week has pretty much been a write off due to sleep deprivation so I don't have a heck of a lot to report- it also feels like all I talk about is the offspring at the moment too and I feel like I'm the only one who reeeally cares ha! So I do apologise about that. Although I daresay I won't have a whole lot else going on for a few more weeks yet, so be prepared for more whinging.
I've been trying to eat healthily lately, well, some days I am anyway. I even 'meal prepped' on Monday, whipping up some baked kumara and LSA crumbed chicken for lunches in advance;
Deeelish. Even if avocados cost me $100 a piece.
I also made up some more bliss balls which seem to disappear at the speed of light. Snacking on those & frozen grapes aaaalll day;
Has anyone tried freezing their grapes? Such a good idea!
In saying that, today I've been snacking on chocolate baking chips and white bread with Vegemite... So ahh yeah. Everything in moderation right? Oh yes, I'm eating chocolate too by the way, my diet didn't seem to change anything for OJ, even after 2 weeks. We think he has reflux, which is horrid- unfortunately he can't just skull some gaviscon and be all better, so we are hoping to get prescribed something tomorrow to ease the burn.
On the exercise front; nada, all week. Urgh. I feel like a bit of a sloth, a really soft sloth. Everything is so soft & doughy, it's not cool. On the bright side- I'm so excited for when my time comes to get back into it & work towards a goal to tighten it all up. Having something to work towards is always incredibly motivating!
Meanwhile, I'm just going to savour the minimal energy stores I have for playtime with Blake and walks to the park. Here's a few more snaps from our week;
Hope you all have a splendid weekend,
Ciao for now
Thought of the day "is 1pm too early for wine?"
Gemma
